When, on a summer day in 2006, Mia watched Jeux d’enfants (Love Me if You Dare) for a second time, this time in original French, Mia noticed the special presence of the lead actress, Marion Cotillard. She left a deep impression on her and Mia wanted to find out more about her. However, there weren’t any great resources available so Mia decided to set up a little tribute page while embarkeing on a journey to see more of her projects.

As Mia found out Marion is really talented, a film becomes worthwile to watch just because she’s in it. Mia hoped to help other admirers of Marion’s work who reside all over the world to find out more about this stunning leading lady. That is why during summer 2007 Mia worked really hard to develop the site further and it was a happy day when the French La Môme DVD was released on August 23, 2007 and the site was re-launched as Magnifique Marion Cotillard on its own domain!

Sarah Amelia joined the site on October 31, 2007 as a co-webbie. Due to other obligations however, she stepped down on December 31, 2007.

Mia decided to leave the world of maintaining fansites in summer 2011. Jess has agreed to take over the site and to make sure it stays online even if there will be less updates. Mia officially stepped down on December 11, 2011 but resumed updating temporarily mid 2012.
