Marion Cotillard appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night to promote ‘Contagion‘. From the moment she stepped on stage the two displayed germophobia by refusing to touch & kiss when they greeted each other. Apart from that they talked about how Marion loves Will Ferrell and laughed over language matters. Sadly it was equally short as the Jimmy Fallon interview the day before.
I added HQ screencaptures of Marion Cotillard’s appearance on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show. They compared their version of Taxi they both starred in (French & US version), then talked about Marion not getting to work with any of the big name co-stars of ‘Contagion‘ and germs in general. I thought their comic timing was perfectly insync and they had the same kind of slightly off-beat sense of humour.
Only a few more hours until the episode of The Late Night with Jimmy Fallon featuring a new interview with Marion Cotillard air on US TV channel NBC. As a preview I added pictures from the taping earlier today (Wednesday). She was wearing a gorgeous one-shoulder blue cocktail dress by Lanvin. To shorten the wait I added the long overdue stills, screencaptures as well as the clip of her December 15, 2009 appearance on the same show where she was promoting ‘Nine‘, toasting her Golden Globe nomination with champagne and professing her love for American comedies.
As of Wednesday, ‘Les petits mouchoirs‘ is being shown in cinemas across France. On the day of the premiere alone, 166,477 people went to see it – which apparently makes this the 2nd best French opening of the year behind Camping 2 and the 12th best start overall. To promote the movie, Marion Cotillard attended more advance screenings: on Tuesday evening in Montpellier (South of France) from where she took a plane back to Paris – Guillaume & Co. attended screenings in 5 different cinemas in Paris throughout Wednesday – the day of the theatrical release. Then, pre-recorded interviews with Marion Cotillard were shown on TV while Guillaume Canet was a guest in the studio: Evening news JT20h on France 2, October 17 and Cooking Show C A Vous on France 5, October 19. This show went to the Paris premiere and asked the cast members to divulge something about Guillaume we didn’t know yet. Marion was asked what he’d like to have on the show – she suggested Crumble, which was then the dessert on the show. And everyone was given a handkerchief (“mouchoir”) with their name.
A proper video about the gala premiere in Paris can be found on Gala.fr and Marion, Guillaume & François did stay for the La boîte à questions on Monday. The segment – with a reference to Marion’s Forehead Tittaes – aired on Wednesday on Canal+.
To promote the theatrical release of ‘Les petits mouchoirs‘ in France on Wednesday Marion Cotillard together with Guillaume Canet and François Cluzet appeared on Le grand journal earlier tonight. Watch the videos on Canalplus.fr (La Suite 1 & 2) until I’ve added them to the video archive. Let’s hope they stayed for La boîte aux questions – we’ll find out tomorrow.

Tuesday night Marion Cotillard was a guest on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson – for the 2nd time this year and overall her 4th visit. As usual the banter between the two was hilarious and I don’t think Marion’s ever been this relaxed on TV! And we get a new glimpse of a scene with Marion in ‘Inception‘. Enjoy!
Probably before attending the Paris ‘Nine‘ Premiere (more on that later) Marion Cotillard, Penélope Cruz and Daniel Day-Lewis appeared on Le Grand Journal and the following Le Petit Journal last Thursday evening. I added screencaptures and clips. Enjoy!
Marion Cotillard was on Craig Ferguson’s show last night and talked about Golden Globes, going on safari in Tanzania, skiing as well as making a documentary. She was charming, cheeky, amusing and amused and once again we could see how Marion & Craig seem to have a great rapport together. Enjoy!
Marion Cotillard answered some questions during the programme La boîte à questions, which is part of Le grand journal, yesterday. I added the video and the clip as well as material from her earlier appearances on the show in previous years. Not sure of the dates though.
