Marion Cotillard was on Conan last night to promote ‘Rust and Bone‘. She talked about her love of redheads, having been raised by her mother to talk to outcasts at school because they could be the most interesting person, loving American comedies and ‘losing’ it when meeting people such as Will Ferrell or John C. Reilly, W Magazine photoshoot, having been allowed to express themselves artistically on the walls as a child and the movie of course. I loved it – Marion really has an adorable sense of self-depricating humour.

She was wearing a sequin plaid chartreuse Erdem dress embellished with floral appliqués and appeeared to have cut her hair. I love that look on her – and I’m happy to stand corrected when we next see her – but in my opinion the hair isn’t flowing as naturally as it did when she had that length before and we all know how she likes to experiment with her hairdo so I think it’s only some kind of wig. What do you think?

In other news Marion Cotillard has arrived in Los Angeles, so it’s probably safe to say she’ll be attending the Critics’ Choice Awards tonight and the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.

It looks like this, the Charlie Rose show & the MTV interviews were all taped on the Monday before the Times Talk. Anyway, I love this interview. The topics are both serious and interesting while at the same time there are questions to lighten up the mood. Peter Travers seemed to be very familiar with Marion’s career – which is of course a bonus – and he also asked her about the Hawskley Workman collaboration. As he makes his guests sing a little snippet of a song that means something to them Marion Cotillard beautifully sang a line from Elvis’ Fools Rush In, which she sings to her son to put him to sleep.

I finally added the lovely interview with Marion Cotillard on the Charlie Rose Show from last week. She talked about why she became an actress, her role in ‘Rust and Bone‘ – of course – and why confidence will never really be part of her life as an actress. It’s a good interview albeit too short. Let’s hope Charlie Rose’s invitation to have her back on the show to talk longer will work.

Cotillard received an honorary award in recognition of her film career and was so eager to collect her award, her chair flew back when she stood. “Oh my god, thank you so much,” she whispered in her charming French elocution to the good Samaritan who lifted it back up.

Later, Marion was overjoyed discussing family life and her baby. “He’s 18 months old now!” The starlet seemed in high-spirits and as a bystander put it “had the best energy out of all the talent there.” The actress stayed until the very end, and even took photos with star-struck fans outside afterwards.

Marion Cotillard’s taped segment on the Chelsea Lately Show aired last night & she looked gorgeous. The interview was really short – just over 6 minutes only – and while there were hints of serious answers it is definitely a comedy show and was mostly geared towards generating laughter. Marion was a good sport though and seemed to enjoy herself. Enjoy!

I added the video and HD screencaptures of Marion’s appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night – though it was recorded 2 weeks ago on December 6. It was as funny as those Ferguson interviews get, Marion was at ease and played along with his jokes and was goofing around. It’s really entertaining to watch – though actual content-wise there’s nothing new. Oh, and she looked really chic in that outfit and the bright red lipstick.

As the US release of ‘Rust and Bone‘ (De rouille et d’os) is approaching – November 23 in New York and December 6 in Los Angeles – Sony Classics updated the official movie site with actual content last week. It looks great, so be sure to visit!

Marion Cotillard taped 2 talk show appearances (Chelsea Lately and Craig Ferguson) this Tuesday. However, they weren’t aired as it was election day in the US. My guess is they made use of a free day to get her on tape while she was still in the States – she’s expected back in France tomorrow and will later head to Barcelona, Spain – but will air the interviews closer to the release of the movie. The Craig Ferguson interview is actually scheduled to air on November 20. I’ll keep my eyes open for the Chelsea Lately air date.

Sorry for the delay (I had some technical difficulties) but already on Saturday Luise added stills of Marion Cotillard on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno from the previous night and I added HD screencaptures of both her interview and the rest of the show. Now, the video is also in our archive & ready for you to watch. It’s one of Marion’s best TV appearances in my opinion. The questions were good and she had perfect timing with being both serious and funny. Highlights include miming, telling a joke and relating the jellyfish incident which happened on the set of ‘Rust & Bone‘. There’s also a new clip from the movie.

Marion Cotillard appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night to promote ‘Contagion‘. From the moment she stepped on stage the two displayed germophobia by refusing to touch & kiss when they greeted each other. Apart from that they talked about how Marion loves Will Ferrell and laughed over language matters. Sadly it was equally short as the Jimmy Fallon interview the day before.
