Following her Oscar win she starred in Public Enemies, Nine, Inception and the French Little White Lies. In 2011 she became a mother and was seen in Midnight in Paris and Contagion on the big screen while she filmed scenes for The Dark Knight Rises and for Jacques Audiard's Rust & Bone. In 2012 she will play a Polish immigrant in the period drama Low Life. Not stopping at movies, Marion Cotillard is also exploring her musical talents as a member of the French rock band Yodelice. Via Spanish magazine YO Dona – which features Marion on the cover as well – we get to see more pictures from the absolutely perfect summer photo shoot of which 3 pictures were first featured in French Elle. Thanks Nadine for the heads up. Enjoy!
Marion Cotillard is on the cover of the August issue of Interview magazine. The photoshoot is very dreamy, sensual and just breathtaking! The interview was conducted over the phone by Nicole Kidman and is definitely one of the most informative Marion interviews in the English language. She talks about her work with Greenpeace in Congo, her love for the environment, searching for answers, dreams and her work with Yodelice. Read it on the magazine’s website
As previously announced Marion Cotillard is gracing the cover of the July issue of US Vogue. The magazine hits newsstands June 22. Already now, we can read part of the article and adore the pictures of the fabulous editorial shot by Mario Testino in the Provence, France, and watch a behind the scenes video on the Vogue.com Website. I will add my own scans as soon as I have the magazine.
Ahead of some very exciting new pictures one more “catching-up-post”. Around the release of the music video for Lady Dior Marion Cotillard was featured in the April issue of Vogue Paris. The interview is mostly about music and how it has always helped her to get in character while filming. Interestingly, Marion used Debbie Harry of Blondie as inspiration and model to be able to portray a rock singer in the recent music video.
Her favourite music artists are among others MGMT, Yodelice, Izia, Radiohead, Otis Redding, U2, Bowie, Franz Ferdinand, Regina Spektor, Hawksley Workman, Pixies.
Kindly do not redistribute the magazine scans at another Marion Cotillard fan site as they were scanned exclusively for ‘Magnifique Marion Cotillard’. Thank you.
I also added the 2 songs from Marion’s movies Edy (2005) and Une affaire privée (2002) to the Songs Page.
This reminded me of Marion’s iTunes Celebrity Playlist I never updated about. Unfortunately, I can’t post a direct link as I have no access to the US Store of iTunes. But here’s the information:
Recent interviews with Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet revealed that they’ve known each other long before they worked together in ‘Jeux d’enfants‘ (Love Me If You Dare). Back in 2001 the two friends were photographed together for the annual Bon Marché exhibition around the time of the Cannes Film Festival.
Saturday, April 7. They value each other, see each other from time to time and share the same urge for imaginativeness, the same audacity. With the laughing eyes of a child about to do some mischief, Guillaume Canet comes up with an idea: to put a noose around his neck! Maybe to better ward off the superstition which forbids to utter this word on a film set. Immediately won over and of course an accomplice, Marion Cotillard took a wicked delight in catching him at his own game.

AnOther Magazine have put up exclusive content of their new Summer/Spring 2010 issue featuring Marion Cotillard on the cover up on their website. Very interesting is the behind the scenes video of Marion’s “Fashion Performance” – very much in context with the issue’s title Power of Performance.
Inspired by her powerful and chameleon-like portrayals, we decided to cast Marion Cotillard in our very own Fashion Performance. The current Lady Dior proved to the world she was master of both film and fashion when she elegantly carried off that Jean Paul Gaultier mermaid dress on the night she won Best Actress for her role as Édith Piaf. We looked to the work of the 1960s Fluxus movement to inform this one-off performance, full of intriguing yet unexplained meanings. In AnOther Magazine 18 the narrative continues in an interview, where Cotillard reveals her heroes, her passions, and the contents of her handbag.
And this is what editor in chief Jefferson Hack says about Marion:
Everyone fell in love with her on the shoot. As an actress, Marion Cotillard is the consummate performer. A dream to work with — almost too good to be true.

Marion Cotillard graces the cover of the new French Elle magazine – on newsstands since yesterday. Until I have time to add the actual scans of the magazines itself enjoy the portrait session of the pictures featured in the magazine and enjoy the article.
Noteworthy facts for non-French speakers: Marion Cotillard likened the 2-month rehearsals for ‘Nine‘ to Star Academy and Fame, she refused to campaign for an Oscar nomination this year and is still thinking about recording an album – with songs written by herself. But she’d need the right people to help her with it.
Thank you Nadine for the heads up that on February 18, 2010, 3.30pm Marion Cotillard will also be the guest on Michel Drucker’s radio show Studio Europe 1 during the ‘Nine‘ special.
Guess what else Marion Cotillard did last Saturday: looking gorgeous and dancing on a photoshoot for the March cover of French magazine Jalouse. The photoshoot was last Saturday in Los Angeles.
While I’ve been busy behind the scenes to bring you soon lots of Marion goodies, nickufan sent in a gorgeous portrait session taken June 20, 2009 in Chicago. Many thanks & enjoy!
