Marion Cotillard attends ‘The Immigrant’ Premiere in NYC

Marion Cotillard attends ‘The Immigrant’ Premiere in NYC

After doing the press junket round last weekend to promote ‘The Immigrant‘ there was a screening of the movie at the Paley Center for Media in New York yesterday, sponsored by Dior, Cinema Society, Vanity Fair and Moët & Chandon. Surprisingly, Marion Cotillard wasn’t wearing Dior to the event but a knee-length Swiss lace frock from Mary Katrantzou’s much-lauded fall collection. Together with the fun up do she definitely was the epitome of exotic French elegance. Director James Gray and media-shy co-star Joaquin Phoenix also attended.

I didn’t expect to live an American dream, and I’m actually really living it. I just wanted to be an actress and tell great stories, but I didn’t expect to have the opportunity to work in this country.

After the screening, Marion Cotillard changed into a red silk Dior dress and headed to the after party at Beautique – where she was photographed with Isabella Rossellini. Thanks to Sofia there are tons of HQ pictures in the gallery for us to enjoy.

Don’t forget, ‘The Immigrant‘ will be out in the US this month. Check out the links below to various clips that have been released to start the US promotion for the movie.

Apparently, Marion Cotillard is expected later today at the Dior cruise 2015 show at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Marion Cotillard at the Costume Instute Gala

Marion Cotillard at the Costume Instute Gala

Marion Cotillard once again attended the annual MET Gala – or Costume Institute Gala: “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday evening. She was Dior’s guest and was wearing a Dior Haute Couture embroidered dark ink blue silk dress with quirky Dior Haute Couture shoes and Chopard jewelry, including just one earring. Sofia has been busy adding loads of pictures including many HQs. Thanks to Ann for some of these. She was photographed with Amy Adams, Johnny Depp, Stella McCartney and Erdem Moralioglu. There are also great behind the scenes shots taken by Mario Testino, Eliott Bliss and her make-up artist Christophe Danchaud. By the way, I just LOVE her sideswept hair. She later changed into a dress by Stella McCartney for the after party.

Latest events update

Latest events update

As you have probably noticed we have been gradually adding photos of Marion’s latest public appearances. For the past two months, Marion has been traveling around to promote her two new films, Guillaume Canet’s ‘Blood Ties’ and James Gray’s ‘The Immigrant’. ‘Blood Ties’ is now out in France and Belgium. Promotion has included screenings at The Toronto Film Festival on September 9 and 10, attended by both Marion and Guillaume. Following that, Guillaume traveled along France during October and Marion attended a couple of the screenings in Bordeaux and Paris.

More recently, Marion has begun promotion for ‘The Immigrant’, which opens in France and Belgium on the 27 of November. She was in Lille for the first screening of what I figure will be a few ending with the premiere in Paris. She was accompanied by James Gray. Photos of all these events have been added.

Finally, and as we had reported before, Marion was honoured by Elle in Los Angeles on October 21. The event, Elle magazine’s “Women in Hollywood”, is an annual dinner that recognizes women for their impact on the film industry. Marion was honoured alongside Melissa McCarthy, Nancy Meyers, Reese Witherspoon, Naomie Harris, Eva Marie Saint, Shailene Woodley and Penelope Cruz.

During the show, Forest Whitaker, who worked with Marion in Mary, and also awarded her the Academy Award back in 2008, introduced Marion at the event.

When I first met her, I was in rapture. I am always astonished by the completeness in which she immerses herself in her roles.

During her speech, Marion spoke of her passion for her work and of why she loves to do what she does.

As far back as I can remember, I began questioning the world around me. Then I realized that by exploring different human beings and their stories, I felt the connection I was longing for. I know these women have also found answers in what they do, and share my passion for discovering the human soul.

Public Appearances from 2001 and 2002

After adding missing pictures from the years 1998 to 2000 in the public appearance section, I now also added those from 2001 and 2002. Additionally, Sofia has added some rare HQ pics from these years as well. It was the time when she was promoting ‘Les jolies choses‘ (Pretty Things), ‘Une femme piegée‘ and ‘Une affaire privée‘ (A Private Affair). In 2002 she also received her second César nomination (for ‘Les jolies choses‘).

Chopard Lunch at Cannes & Dior Cruise Collection show

As the Cannes Film Festival unfolds, Marion Cotillard has made her first appearance at the event. On Friday she attended the Chopard Lunch and posed alongside Fan Bingbing, Livia Firth, Colin Firth, and Laura Baily. The lunch promoted a partnership between Chopard and the Alliance for Responsible Mining for a closer relationship between luxury and sustainability. Marion looked cool and summery in a Vivienne Westwood dress and Jimmy Choo tan sandals. She completed the look with a Chopard ring.

The next day, Marion was spotted at the Dior Cruise Collection 2014 show held in Monaco, wearing a Raff Simons design.

Marion’s movies Blood Ties (Guillaume Canet) and The Immigrant (James Gray) will be screened at Cannes on the 20th and 25th of May, respectively, so we should expect to see her throughout this week!
