Marion Cotillard is gracing the cover of the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK. I will be on the lookout for the magazine on newsstands here to add scans. She talks about David Lynch, Dior and being Leonardo DiCaprio’s ‘love interest’ in the interview. Be sure to check their website for their upcoming Marion style gallery.

This is just a small update to let you know that Marion Cotillard (and Leonardo DiCaprio) are on the cover of the July issue of Studio Ciné Live. I will add scans as soon as I have the magazine. Also added another ‘Inception‘ still to the gallery.
001 Inception – 2010 > Stills
001 Studio Ciné Live (France) – July
In a ‘Web Exclusive’ Vanity Fair magazine listed The Top 10 Most Stunning French Actresses – among them Marion Cotillard, of course.
Name: Marion Cotillard.
Age: 34.
At her most stunning … surprisingly, in heavy makeup, channeling the passion of French songbird Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose (2007), for which she won a best-actress Oscar.
And it looks like the promotion for ‘Inception‘ will bring a treat: Marion Cotillard will grace the cover of US Vogue magazine. I can’t wait to see the cover & the editorial!
Coinciding with Saturday’s César Ceremony, which Marion will be president of, Madame Figaro feature Marion Cotillard on the cover with an absolutely gorgeous new photoshoot! Ahead of the magazine’s release the lovely Mariana has donated exclusive scans. Thank you so very much & enjoy!
Marion Cotillard is on the cover of the upcoming issue of Another Magazine, out tomorrow. This is a preview of the (limited) cover as well as the interview:
Inspired by the instruction-based art of the Fluxus movement, AnOther Magazine gave cover star Marion Cotillard three instructions before her interview: bring an object you love; a photograph that makes you smile; and a piece of writing that has taught you something. The first object that tumbled from her bag was a vintage, folding Polaroid SX70, small enough to slide into her jacket pocket, a constant accompaniment across time zones and film sets. Her photographic heroes are Sarah Moon and Peter Beard. As for the photograph, she told us, “I couldn’t choose one. So I brought three. There’s a wood in Corsica where I went on holiday, a beach near Bordeaux I always go to, and a beautiful wood outside Paris, where I often stay with a friend.” The photographs – otherworldly, mysterious, peaceful havens – seemed to be a kind of quiet, talismanic antidote to the lively chaos that has surrounded Cotillard since 2007. The last object Cotillard brought along seemed to bring us full circle to her childhood quest for answers. She picked up a lovingly battered paperback, a collection of speeches, Freedom from the Known, given by the philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti. “It’s hard to choose one book that has changed things in your life,” she smiled. “But the way he talks about fears, happiness, violence, time, life, death, us. How to find your own vision, and understand human beings, is so inspiring. As an actress, I feel like an anthropologist of human emotions. I don’t observe people because I’m an actress and I want to steal things from them. It’s the other way around – I’m an actress because I find human beings so very interesting.”
Marion Cotillard starts her ‘Nine‘ promotion in France already tonight: she’s scheduled to appear during the evening news on TF1 at 8pm. There’s no way I can record this since I’m not home but they put the video up on their website afterwards.
Sadly, Oscarcast executive producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic have dropped a bombshell, telling artists nominated for Best Original Song that they won’t be invited to perform the usual big production number (source). Thus our hopes of seeing Marion Cotillard perform the Oscar nominated song ‘Taking it All‘ during the show have been shattered.
Marion Cotillard graces the cover of the new French Elle magazine – on newsstands since yesterday. Until I have time to add the actual scans of the magazines itself enjoy the portrait session of the pictures featured in the magazine and enjoy the article.
Noteworthy facts for non-French speakers: Marion Cotillard likened the 2-month rehearsals for ‘Nine‘ to Star Academy and Fame, she refused to campaign for an Oscar nomination this year and is still thinking about recording an album – with songs written by herself. But she’d need the right people to help her with it.

Thank you Nadine for the heads up that on February 18, 2010, 3.30pm Marion Cotillard will also be the guest on Michel Drucker’s radio show Studio Europe 1 during the ‘Nine‘ special.
Guess what else Marion Cotillard did last Saturday: looking gorgeous and dancing on a photoshoot for the March cover of French magazine Jalouse. The photoshoot was last Saturday in Los Angeles.

Thanks to Nicole’s Magic for this media alert.
I added the scans from the December issues of both the UK and the Japanese Harper’s Bazaar. Many thanks Lorna and Kelly for scanning the features for us!
I also added a transcript of the UK magazine – it’s mostly to promote Beds are burning, but also Nine. It has information about Marion’s engagement for the environment that previously only French publications have written about. Obviously, I don’t understand the Japanese article but it’s to promote ‘Public Enemies‘.
