While I’m awaiting the arrival of my own copy of the new BlackBook Magazine that my friend in the US is buying for me the magazine’s website released the very interesting interview with Marion Cotillard and the pictures from the inside of the magazine. I’ve finally added the clip of Marion Cotillard’s interview on “Le grand journal”, which took place May 18, 2009 during the Cannes Film Festival. Ok, I’m back and trying to catch up with all the Marion news as quickly as my very busy real life schedule allows. Today, I bring you some scans of recent publications – one even has a brand-new interview with Marion Cotillard, I’ve added the transcript to the press archive: Cultural Conversion

Marion Cotillard is featured on the cover of the new issue of French Elle magazine, which appears on newsstands tomorrow. I had to look twice to be sure that this is really Marion but this is nothing short of a spectacular photoshoot! I’ve added previews to the gallery. The article is to promote The Lady Noire Affair and Public Enemies and I guess we know now why Elle magazine is co-hosting the dinner in honor of Marion during the Cannes Film Festival on May 22. Stay tuned for HQ scans and an English translation of the interview!

By the way, the new Guillaume Canet-directed project on Marion’s schedule is indeed called ‘Les Petits Mouchoirs‘. “He envisioned me as this lively girl – not necessarily the most stable – but who’ trying to find her place in the world. And I liked that very much!” (Il m’a imaginée dans la peau d’une fille à vif, pas vraiment la plus stable du monde, mais qui essaie de trouver sa place. Et ça me plaît beaucoup !)

Every day, it’s like the Cannes festival over there!

I never dreamed of a César. As a little girl, I never imagined myself making a speech! But, that evening, I was really happy to be awarded in my home country.

And then, during three weeks of rehearsals, I met Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Fergie, Judi Dench, Sophia Loren and Daniel Day-Lewis. I realized we were all going to be in the same studio, for two months. And I understood we all had our fears concerning the technique required. Suddenly, instead of exhaustion, I felt euphoria, and it hasn’t left me since.

Since I’m still in the middle of making a musical and fulfilling my childhood dream, my heart is singing!

I faced horrible traffic and drove into town to get the new French Elle magazine. But alas, it wasn’t on our newsstands yet. I guess it’ll arrive on Monday. I’ll have HQ scans up then.
