'Rust and Bone' DVD Extras

Rust and Bone‘ (De rouille et d’os) was released on DVD, Collector’s DVD and Blu-ray in France last Wednesday. While the regular DVD only includes an audio commentary from the writers Jacques Audiard and Thomas Bidegain both the Collector’s 2-DVD edition and the Blu-ray include some additional extras. My Blu-ray arrived today and I’ve added screencaps of all the extras (which are only in DVD quality). Be sure to check back later for HD screencaptures of the actual movie.

'Extrême Limite' Screencaptures

Back in 1994, an 18 to 19 year old Marion Cotillard was part of the French TF1 series ‘Extrême Limite‘ where she played Sophie Colbert, the daughter of the director of an elite sports academy at the Côte d’Azur. To my knowledge she appeared in episodes #10 and #41 of the first season. Please let me know if she appeared in any additional episodes.

There’s some confusion with the DVD releases as they’re splitting episodes from the first season into different box sets as well as labelling some of them ‘Season 2’. Marion’s episodes can be watched on the following DVD Box Sets: Saison 1, partie 1 and Saison 2, partie 1. Added screencaptures of Marion’s 2nd episode today.

'Public Enemies' DVD Screencaptures

I received my UK ‘Public Enemies‘ Blu-ray this week. I now finished capping the scenes featuring Marion Cotillard in the main movie. I’ll try capping the Marion-relevant extras tomorrow. Enjoy!

On a sidenote, our gallery has now surpassed the 30,000 limit mark as it currently houses 30,321 pictures.

‘Chloé’ Screencaptures

Earlier this week ‘Chloé‘ was released on DVD in France (Buy). The TV movie from 1996 comes with no extras and no subtitles – just the plain film in the original French language. The movie was hard to come by up until now and no doubt because of Marion Cotillard’s recent Oscar win France 2 decided to release this film on DVD now.

Note how the DVD cover reads “Marion Cotillard, Oscar and César for Best Actress in ‘La Vie en Rose’, in her first role. Featuring the music of ‘L’hymne à l’amour’ by Edith Piaf”. It must be stated however, that although Chloé was indeed one of Marion’s first roles it was not the first. That’d be the role of Lori Bellian in an episode of ‘Highlander’ – also directed by Chloé director Dennis Berry.

I’ve had a low quality version of the movie for a while but never managed to make screencaptures from it. Now that the film is available on DVD I couldn’t resist buying it even though I have to admit that this is my absolute least favourite movie out of Marion’s resumee. Nontheless, she gives a very strong, powerful and harrowing performance, really remarkable – especially considering she was only just 20 years old at the time and at the beginning of her acting career.
