Marion on ‘Le Grand Journal’ tonight
Thank you Stephanie! Marion Cotillard appeared on Canal+’s Le grand journal earlier tonight. Together with Jane Birkin she talked about tonight’s Silent Gathering in support of Aung San Suu Kyi and there was also a bit of talk about the ‘Beds are burning’ video clip. She stayed on for the remaining of the discussion about the school system.
You can watch it online (Partie 2 as well as the very end of Partie 3) or in our video archive (the final part from Partie 3 is missing here though). If anybody has a HQ clip I could use to get good quality screencaptures please don’t hesitate to contact me, thank you!
2nd Teaser for ‘Beds are Burning’
Thank you so much for all the nice comments you visitors are leaving here at the website all the time! It really encourages me to continue making this site better and more complete! Also my internet troubles seem to be over earlier than expected, at least I think so.
While we eagerly await the full video for ‘Beds are Burning‘ – the song to advertise the Tck Tck Tck Campaign for Time For Climate Justice – a new teaser as well as a ‘Marion Cotillard Tck Tck Tck Spot’ have hit the web. They’re both short but lovely – we also get to have a good look at Guillaume Canet in the teaser.

‘Beds are Burning’ Video online October 1
While the song ‘Beds are Burning’ for the Time for Climate Justice – Tck Tck Tck Campaign
is already available on MySpace (it seems that was only a temporary version, it has since been removed), the official launch date is October 1. During the previously mentioned press conference in Paris on October 1 the video clip will be unveiled and it is also as of October 1 that it will be available as free download on many digital platforms. Each click, download and listening will count as a “virtual musical petition” that will be presented to the political leaders of the world at the climate conference in Copenhagen in December.

Beds Are Burning – Teaser
Thanks to Marion-Cotillard.fr. Even though we still have to wait till September 8 to listen to Beds Are Burning – a song recorded by many stars, among them Marion Cotillard, in support of the Tck Tck Tck Campaign – we can now have a glimpse at the music video and the song on Facebook and MySpace
I added the small version of the signed promo picture, caps of the music video teaser as well as the teaser itself and a short clip of the New York Making Of where you can hear Marion’s singing and see her standing behind the microphone recording her parts for the song to the site’s media parts.

Beds Are Burning
(Dry River Bed Version)
Down at the river bed
The earth is cracked and dry instead
Farms are failing, cities baking
Steam in 45 degrees
The time has come
To take a stand
It’s for the earth
It’s for our land
The time has come
A fact’s a fact
The heat is on
No turning back
How can we dance when our earth is turning?
How do we sleep while our beds are burning?
Heaven hopes we’ll find a cure
From Bejing west to Timbuktu
The global village lives and breathes
In 45 degrees

‘Beds Are Burning’ coming in September
You may have been as curious as I to listen to the new cover version of Midnight Oil’s Beds are burning – recorded by stars such as Marion Cotillard, Guillaume Canet, Mélanie Laurent and Vincent Pérez – which was supposed to be available for download this past Thursday.
The song is actually part of a campaign launched yesterday by former secretary general of the United Nations Kofi Annan and Live Aid founder Bob Geldof.
The “tck tck tck” campaign, pronounced tick, tick, tick to symbolise time running out, was created by Havas Worldwide and will break online today and appear on TV and press in the coming days.
The campaign has been backed by the Advertising Community Together initiative and Havas Worldwide’s global chief executive, David Jones, is calling on all advertisers to feature the tck tck tck logo on all ad campaigns globally between July and December.
The ad aims to urge people from around the world to become “climate allies” and apply pressure on world leaders to reach a just and binding deal at the UN Climate Change conference in Copenhagen in December 2009.
Additional components of the campaign will include the release of merchandise dog-tags and a cover version featuring several actors and singers of the song Beds are Burning by Australian rock band Midnight Oil, which will be available to download free from September.
So we’ll have to be patient a little while longer – but this campaign sounds interesting and hopefully it’ll achieve its aim.
