L'amour lui a sauvé la vie (Love saved him his life)

Some men have everything, while other men have even more. Léo is one of the latter. A member of the jet set, he can be seen at the trendiest parties cruising beautiful women, living life to the hilt while others barely have time to even dream it. Narrowly escaping death in an accident, Léo suddenly discovers the true value of life. He’s never known the meaning of true love and now he’ll start to understand what really counts. The accident doesn’t mean the end, it marks the beginning of an attempt to conquer again all he possessed without realizing it. “Cavalcade” is a true story adapted from an autobiographical novel by Bruno de Stabenrath.

Marion Cotillard

She plays Alizée – the girlfriend Léo has at the beginning of the film. However, he’s too busy partying to notice she’s depressed. She leaves him and goes off to find a new life. Although she only has a small part she leaves a big impression and makes you want to hit Léo in order to realize what he’s missing. She may come off as selfish for not returning back to him when he realizes how much he loves her and yet we’re happy for her that she’s found her place in life.

From other people

I sent Marion the script to New York where she was filming Tim Burton’s ‘Big Fish’. She took some time to respond so I thought she wasn’t interested. But she called me 10 days before filming started and asked when she could start.
