Marion Cotillard was busy on Friday. She changed dress and had her hair redone to attend the Chopard Trophy Ceremony and the following Dolce & Gabbana Party. She looked absolutely like a glamourous movie star! Many thanks Mariana for your help with the pictures, as always.
Great news! Marion Cotillard attended the ‘We Own the Night’ Premiere last night at the Cannes Film Festival! The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg and Eva Mendes. I’ve added some HQ and tons of MQ pictures for you to enjoy. I especially adore her hair.
070 2007 Cannes Film Festival – ‘We Own the Night’ Premiere
[edit:] added +23 HQ pictures, many thanks goes to Mariana
For the 7th time Cannes organized the art concept ‘Cannes fait le mur’ on the occasion of the Cannes Film Festival. To celebrate the 60th edition of the festival 17 giant portraits are hung on the city’s walls beginning May 16 until July 15. Photographer Denis Rouvre shot French stars Emma de Caunes, Vincent Cassel, Gaspard Ulliel, Morgan Freeman, Laetitia Casta, Jean Dujardin and Marion Cotillard. Their portraits decorate the following buildings: Alexandra à La Bocca, Médiathèque Espace Ranguin, lycée Jules Ferry, l’hôtel de Ville, Hotels Renoir and HotelCannes Riviera. For the first time also in the street rue d’Antibes portraits are hung up. These feature Elijah Wood, Alain Delon, Kevin Bacon, Samuel Lee Jackson, Diane Kruger, Rosy de Palma, Matt Damon, David Caradine, Tom Hanks and Maiwenn.
So if you’re in Cannes anytime during the next few weeks you know what to do: look for the Marion poster. My guess is they’re using this picture.
Marion Cotillard was named the Costa Serena’s godmother. Read the original announcement here. The inaugural festivities took place last Saturday, May 19, in Marseille, France.
First came “the official christening ceremony in a more traditional maritime fashion. Godmother Marion Cotillard possessed an actor’s excellent timing (and great instincts). She successfully hacked a rope in one swipe, allowing for a Champagne bottle to smash against the ship’s hull. Two cannons fired confetti into the air, and the Chorus of the Marseilles Opera burst into song.”
That was followed by a gala dinner for more than 1,200 guests – for which internationally-renowned chefs had been commissioned. The evening’s festivities celebrating the Costa Serena ended with an inaugural show, entitled “Mediterranean Serenade,” involving the entire city of Marseille. “ Blending fireworks and projections of light that illuminated the night sky with explosive colors, the show was centered around Marseille’s four most famous monuments (known as the city’s “four wonders”): Pharo Cove and Palace, Sainte Marie Majeure Cathedral, Entrecastaux Castle and the Fort Saint-Jean. Each site was individually lit up, and the fireworks exploding overhead offered a joyful visage. CostaSerena too was ablaze with lights.”

According to today’s guest list on the official Fesitval site Marion Cotillard is present at this year’s Cannes festival today.
Welcome to the new version of ‘Presenting Marion Cotillard’. I have re-done the whole content with WordPress – an amazing feature that I’m discovering at the moment. There’s nothing new content-wise, really, but expect more information on Marion’s projects as well as new scans after I’m back from my holiday at the end of the month.
In the meantime, why don’t you comment? Thanks
p.s. the header features 3 rotating/random images…
I’ve added some more photoshoot pictures to the gallery (register & log in to be able to view) that the lovely Mariana had sent in! Many thanks! There are also some more pictures of Marion Cotillard promoting La Vie en Rose (La Môme) in the States.
I’ve added the Screencaptures, Making Of and Teaser for last year’s French film ‘Dikkenek’. Enjoy!
Earlier today I’ve uploaded a huge amount of pictures of Marion Cotillard appearing at various events throughout the years, her first (to my knowledge) visit to the Berlin Film Festival in 1999, the multiple visits at the grand Cannes Film Festival, of course her big night at the 30th Cesar Awards and lot more. Enjoy! Public Appearances sorted by year: 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006

Marion Cotillard, or actually her film ‘La Vie en Rose’, certainly is making the festival round-up. The Philadelphia Film Festival, running from April 5 – 18, is showing it on April 12 at 7.00 pm and on April 13 at 2.15 pm. See the film’s page on their website here. And the film’s English official site has been set up – though it’s not yet complete.
But also last year’s French film Fair Play also starring Marion will be shown there. Here’s a review:
Fair Play assumes that life is a game and succeeds to startling effect in proving that, in corporate France, the converse is true, as well. In the final canyoneering (you know, for fraternité) scene, pain is a truth serum that threatens to destroy the rules and shatter the boundary between sport and real life. The lousy subtitles are the only unintentional addition to the constant tension — struggling to figure out what the hell is going on and read white subtitles against a waterfall while Charles (Eric Savin) tries to intimidate Nicole (Marion Cotillard) into withdrawing her sexual harassment suit isn’t nearly as rewarding as watching Alex welt his boss with a racquetball after proclaiming he’s slept with his wife in an attempt to keep his job.
