While I’m awaiting the arrival of my own copy of the new BlackBook Magazine that my friend in the US is buying for me the magazine’s website released the very interesting interview with Marion Cotillard and the pictures from the inside of the magazine. Marion Cotillard was one of the selected VIP guests who joined Dianne Furstenberg in a special party to preview the new park on the elevated rail tracks dubbed the High Line in New York ahead of it’s official opening on June 15.

As previously announced, Marion Cotillard as the face of the new Lady Dior advertising campaign and as an environmental activist made a special appearance to show her support for the “Bike in Style Challenge” project. The challenge was to create stylish, practical and affordable bike clothing and gear in support of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s bicycling promotion initiatives, which should help create a greener, greater New York City.

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (the company also owns parts of Dior) organized the event as part of its longstanding commitment to the environment and next to Marion also Hilary Duff and iconic designer Donna Karan announced the winners earlier this afternoon. Read Press Release

Now that I’ve caught up with all Cannes news & pictures word is out that Marion is set to attend a new event again:

Marion Cotillard, Hilary Duff, Donna Karan, LVMH honcho Renaud Dutreil and first deputy mayor Patricia Harris are expected to be on hand when the Bike in Style Challenge winners are unveiled June 2 at the LVMH Tower in Midtown Manhattan. In support of Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s battle cry for more bike commuting, LVMH teamed up with the Department of Transportation and the Fashion Institute of Technology to round up students to design clothing worthy of a ride to work.

I’ve finally added the clip of Marion Cotillard’s interview on “Le grand journal”, which took place May 18, 2009 during the Cannes Film Festival. Not only that but you can also find HQ screencaptures of the interview as well as an English translation. I hope the translation really conveys the meaning of what was said on TV.

Apart from France the movie is also scheduled to come to the French part of Switzerland on November 25, 2009!

On May 22 Dior and ELLE magazine hosted a dinner in honor of Marion Cotillard at the Hotel du Cap Eden-Roc. The hotel’s furnishings were all covered in red Chinese silk and Marion, who attended together with Guillaume Canet, matched the Asian flare of the event by wearing a crimson bustier dress.
