Another gorgeous magazine spread with Marion Cotillard appeared back in March in France’s Jalouse magazine. After the short preview clip there was also another official behind the scenes video clip. I’ve added scans & screencaptures to the gallery. Enjoy!

Kindly do not redistribute the magazine scans at another Marion Cotillard fan site as they were scanned exclusively for ‘Magnifique Marion Cotillard’. Thank you.

Totally forgot to update about this exciting video – which was released in the midst of the Cannes Film Festival frenzy. Via the official ‘Les petits mouchoirs’ Facebook page a video clip about the shooting of the Guillaume Canet directed ensemble film with the English title ‘Little White Lies‘. Thanks for the heads up Nadine!

A New French Movie?

During the Cannes Film Festival it was announced that Romain Duris would work again with director Pascal Chaumeil – together they delivered the hit movie ‘L’Arnacoeur‘. The title of the new project is ‘Vivre c’est mieux que mourir‘ – which translates roughly to ‘Better alive than dead’. Interestingly, Wednesday’s issue of French newspaper L’Express listed the project at the end of an article about the balance between commercial and indie productions.

Vivre c’est mieux que mourir, by Pascal Chaumeil. Comedy with Marion Cotillard and Romain Duris, written by six screenwriters, including Laurent Zeitoun.

The movie is an Action Comedy, in which a hotel employee has to act as a scriptwriter to get out of a messy situation in which he put himself. He actually has the habit of stealing from hotel guests. But then one day he’s caught by a Hollywood Producer-Director. Clever as he is he will charm the producer and convince him to develop a movie about espionage. Sounds intriguing and I can’t wait to hear more about the possible involvement of Marion in it. Huge thank you to Nadine for finding this information!

On a sidenote, better quality pictures have been added to these albums: Vogue, Vogue Portraits and Vogue Diaries.

As previously announced Marion Cotillard is gracing the cover of the July issue of US Vogue. The magazine hits newsstands June 22. Already now, we can read part of the article and adore the pictures of the fabulous editorial shot by Mario Testino in the Provence, France, and watch a behind the scenes video on the Vogue.com Website. I will add my own scans as soon as I have the magazine.

Ahead of some very exciting new pictures one more “catching-up-post”. Around the release of the music video for Lady Dior Marion Cotillard was featured in the April issue of Vogue Paris. The interview is mostly about music and how it has always helped her to get in character while filming. Interestingly, Marion used Debbie Harry of Blondie as inspiration and model to be able to portray a rock singer in the recent music video.

Her favourite music artists are among others MGMT, Yodelice, Izia, Radiohead, Otis Redding, U2, Bowie, Franz Ferdinand, Regina Spektor, Hawksley Workman, Pixies.

I also added the 2 songs from Marion’s movies Edy (2005) and Une affaire privée (2002) to the Songs Page.

This reminded me of Marion’s iTunes Celebrity Playlist I never updated about. Unfortunately, I can’t post a direct link as I have no access to the US Store of iTunes. But here’s the information:

Marion Cotillard’s been featured in French L’Officiel magazine 3 times (that I know of), twice on the cover. I’m ashamed to say that those scans have so far been missing from our gallery. As of today, you can view these 3 very different editorials – each unique in their own way. This year’s spread is definitely one of my favourite Marion photoshoots ever. Enjoy!

The foundation by French sailor and UNESCO Ambassador for the Oceans Maud Fontenoy is determined to fight to save the oceans and protect the coastlines. Read more about their work here.

I will add more pictures when I have more time. Added lots of pictures of Marion in her adorable “French” outfit. In the meantime I added some additional pictures to previous events.

Vanity Fair names Top 10 Stunning French Actresses

In a ‘Web Exclusive’ Vanity Fair magazine listed The Top 10 Most Stunning French Actresses – among them Marion Cotillard, of course.

Name: Marion Cotillard.
Age: 34.
At her most stunning … surprisingly, in heavy makeup, channeling the passion of French songbird Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose (2007), for which she won a best-actress Oscar.

And it looks like the promotion for ‘Inception‘ will bring a treat: Marion Cotillard will grace the cover of US Vogue magazine. I can’t wait to see the cover & the editorial!

A new Behind the Scenes featurette for ‘Inception‘ which has been playing in selected theatres has finally been released online. Be sure to watch it on Yahoo! Movies as there’s a new scene with Marion Cotillard and Leonardo DiCaprio!

There are also 4 new banners (without Marion) on IGN and an article about the movie’s viral marketing strategy over at Screencave.
