Wearing black floor length Christian Dior dress from the Fall 2011 collection – with an embroidered lace skirt, embellishment details on the chest and a sexy open back – together with a cute braided updo Marion Cotillard looked perfect on Wednesday’s New York premiere of ‘Contagion‘. Only a few more hours until the episode of The Late Night with Jimmy Fallon featuring a new interview with Marion Cotillard air on US TV channel NBC. As a preview I added pictures from the taping earlier today (Wednesday). She was wearing a gorgeous one-shoulder blue cocktail dress by Lanvin. Many thanks to Roberta from Leonardo DiCaprio Fan for sending in the pictures.

To shorten the wait I added the long overdue stills, screencaptures as well as the clip of her December 15, 2009 appearance on the same show where she was promoting ‘Nine‘, toasting her Golden Globe nomination with champagne and professing her love for American comedies.

We posted about the rumours before, but it’s a rumour no longer. Marion Cotillard has been confirmed to have a role in Jacques Audiard’s next movie ‘Un goût de rouille et d’os‘ according to Le Film Français. You need to be registered to read the article but PurePeople has the information as well. Co-starring in the ensemble movie will be Matthias Schoenaerts, Céline Sallette, and Bouli Lanners. Filming will start at the end of September and last 8 weeks – taking place in the North of France, in the area of Paris and at the Côte d’Azur. [edit:] According to Variety filming will take place for a total of 12 weeks and lists Belgium as additional shooting location.

Don’t forget to tune into the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight just after midnight to see Marion Cotillard. Also she is expected to attend the NYC premiere of ‘Contagion‘ (source: Gossiple.com).

While it is as of yet unclear whether Marion Cotillard will head to Venice for Saturday’s world premiere of ‘Contagion‘ before taping her talk show appearances it seems that the John Cameron Mitchell-directed new Dior commercial is being filmed this week in Los Angeles (source: Ceasar Fernando Barajas). [edit:] According to Terry Mcshane and Alexa Michelle they’re filming today.

If you want to look at a scene from ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ that Marion shot with Gary Oldman in Pitsburgh before finishing her filming and going to LA a bit over a week ago watch this video on YouTube, courtesy of Nickolay. While it is shaky you still get a good look at Marion.

It’s been announced today that ‘Contagion‘ will open the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland on September 22, 2011. Unfortunately, I will not be able to go (source: Hollywood Reporter).

John Cameron Mitchell – who directed Marion Cotillard’s Lady Dior short movie in London – ended his Mattachine’s club tour in Los Angeles last Sunday. LA Weekly published an interview with him on the occasion. And there was an interesting tidbid at the end of it:

While in LA, Mitchell will direct his second Dior commercial starring Marion Cotillard.

Marion will appear on The Daily Show on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 11pm. She will no doubt be promoting Contagion which opens the following day in US/Canada. Check local guides for airing times in your area.
