Exciting news! The official selection for this year’s Cannes Film Festival was announced yesterday morning and Justin Kurzel’s Macbeth is on the official competition list. This means the film could win awards and that Marion will be on the race for best actress. This will surely mean we will see Marion Cotillard grace the festival again. This is the fourth year in a row that Marion has had a film competing at the Festival: Rust and Bone in 2012, The Immigrant in 2013 and Two Days, One Night in 2014.
You can check the official selection list here.
Edith Piaf would have been 100 years old this year. To celebrate her centenary, the National Library in Paris has put together an exhibition that will be open until the end of the summer. Last night was the exhibition’s official opening and Marion Cotillard attended the event along with many other French actors, writers and artists. I have added photos of the event to the gallery.

Hi everyone! I have changed the look of the website with Claudia‘s help (thank you so much, Claudia!) as I was growing a little tired of the old one. The gallery also has a new look to go with the website. I hope you guys like it as much as I do! I am still working on different areas of the site such as the career and film pages and I am also sorting out all the press so I can stack it up neatly in an archive for better access. I have moved our video section to youtube as the videos took up too much space on the website and I will be uploading all the old videos to our youtube account so don’t forget to subscribe.
Adding to that, there will be a lot of scans coming in the next few months from old magazines that Mia collected and so kindly sent to me, as well as updates whenever Marion is up to something. Next stop should be Cannes, so excited for that! Enjoy!
Marion Cotillard is once again featured in the latest Dior campaign for Lady Dior, Spring 2015. Shot by Peter Lindbergh at the Salk Institute in California, the campaign features Marion clad in some futuristic outfits in a desert of solar panels.
According to hollywoodlife.com:
Marion didn’t just pose for pictures, but she is also starring in a campaign film that is slated to debut on Diormag.com on April 8.
So let’s stay tuned and see what other stunning surprises are reserved!
I have added the Print Ads to the gallery as well as screen captures of the making of of this shoot. You can find the short video below:
According to Universal France, Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet will lend their voices to the villains Scarlett and Herb Overkill in the upcoming animation film Minions. Sandra Bullock and Jon Hamm give those characters their voices in the English spoken version. The film will release July 10 in the United States and July 8 in France.
I found a trailer for the French version with Marion’s character in it. She has disguised her voice a bit but you can hear it here and then when she speaks… I think?
