Marion speaks about ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

Marion Cotillard recently spoke to 24 Frames – the Movies section on the LA Times Website – and they asked her about her role in ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ and why she joined the project. Could her character Miranda Tate be a cover for a more intriguing character as fans are speculating?

“My role is a secret, as is the whole project.” Cotillard did offer some thoughts on why she joined the film — namely, a chance to reunite with Nolan. And she said she has a specific regard for Batman among pretty much all the superheroes out there.

Just what is it about Batman that makes him so appealing to the actress? It’s that brooding thing. “I think it’s that he’s human,” Cotillard said. “He can’t really fly, and he doesn’t have superpowers. And he has that darkness inside.”

It sounds like this was part of an interview conducted for ‘Midnight in Paris‘ so I can’t wait for the whole interview.

Oh I hope it’s for the LA Times Magazine. They have the most beautiful covers and photoshoots. Very similar to the NYT T Style mags.
Exciting.
I’m so looking forward to her upcoming films.
