New website look!

Hi everyone! I have changed the look of the website with Claudia‘s help (thank you so much, Claudia!) as I was growing a little tired of the old one. The gallery also has a new look to go with the website. I hope you guys like it as much as I do! I am still working on different areas of the site such as the career and film pages and I am also sorting out all the press so I can stack it up neatly in an archive for better access. I have moved our video section to youtube as the videos took up too much space on the website and I will be uploading all the old videos to our youtube account so don’t forget to subscribe.

Adding to that, there will be a lot of scans coming in the next few months from old magazines that Mia collected and so kindly sent to me, as well as updates whenever Marion is up to something. Next stop should be Cannes, so excited for that! Enjoy!

Website’s new YouTube Channel

I’ve decided that to save disk space on the website, I will from now on stock all our videos on YouTube. I have opened a YouTube channel today dedicated to the site and have started uploading videos. I will be uploading all the older videos that were once on Magnifique Marion Cotillard’s video archive. Be sure to subscribe as there will be new videos added regularly! Enjoy!

Magnifique Marion Cotillard: New Layout

Magnifique Marion Cotillard: New Layout

Welcome to the new version of Magnifique Marion Cotillard! The banner here on the main site as well as the new gallery layout were created by the talented Laura. Thank you! There are a few new things worth mentioning. Mostly, that the press, video and audio archives are included in the main site. This means that you will always spot new additions by visiting the main site. If you only wish to see the news and updates you can do so by clicking the item in the navigation.

The old video archive will soon be deleted as the script is outdated. We’ve saved all the videos and information and will be including it on the main site here – as the movie trailers and clips and some interviews already have.

Check it out: New press, video and audio archives.

Sofia and I have also worked hard on the projects section. As of now all feature films and music videos from Marion Cotillard’s CV have been added (we will add more information to some of these) and we will be adding the short films and TV projects in the near future. There’s also a new awards page – each award automatically also gets displayed on the corresponding project page.

Finally, the biography has been updated (this was long overdue as the previous version was from 2007). Check it out!

All in all I hope you enjoy this new version as much as I do. Hopefully, it will also make it easier to spot new additions to the site. Thank you for your Feedback!

Marion Cotillard's early TV Appearances

As you may have noticed Sofia came on board just before the Cannes Film Festival to help keep the site stay updated. She’s been doing a great job with adding all the latest info, HQ event pics & magazine scans. Not only that but she also added new HQ pictures of Marion Cotillard’s early TV appearances. Thank you! Be sure to check them out!

On December 28, 2002 Marion Cotillard appeared on the first edition of French TV Show “Défis des stars” (Challenges for stars). Directed by Pascal Duchêne and moderated by Nikos Aliagas and Star Academy finalist Eva 20 brave actors, singers and comedians faced challenges that revolved around the circus such as animal training, juggling, magic and cabaret acts. Marion performed using a magic wand. Judging by the screencaps by Erik she was also an assistant in one of the magic acts. Fellow participants included her co-stars from ‘Taxi‘ (Samy Nacéri performed with 4 tigres from Circus Yann Gruss and Frédéric Diefenthal with bears from Circus Phénix) and ‘Les jolies choses‘ (Ophélie Winter performed on aerial silk and Titoff in another act). Elie Semoun, Véronique Genest, Gérard Jugnot, L5, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Grégori Baquet, Anthony Kavanagh, Patrick Timsit and Pascal Sellem were also part of the show.

Moderator Nikos said in advance: “I don’t know whether it will work for viewers. But I think it’s very nice to see the stars in different roles, to see them in burlesque, funny or dangerous situations. There will be music, entertainment, it will be a party. It’s the end of the year, so we will finish it in a good mood, with completely original and magical images.” And they succeeded for the newspaper Le Parisien later called it an original evening.

Does anybody have videos of any of the shows we’ve added pictures of – or of Marion Cotillard’s other television appearances? Please send them in, we’d be very thankful!

2013 Events Up-to-Date

Over the past few weeks I updated the gallery with all the recent pictures of Marion Cotillard at various events. Notably, she visited Japan to promote ‘Rust & Bone‘ (De rouille et d’os) at the end of March and around the movie’s theatrical release there in April many additional stills and promotional pictures were released. If you live in Japan and have additional pictures and/or videos, please don’t hesitate to send them in!

I know, the Cannes Film Festival is around the corner and I’m beyond excited for Marion Cotillard’s new movies but I will not – or only sparingly – be updating this site with new things. There’s never a good time to quit but I still feel the way I posted back in December 2011 and will thus focus on updating this site with all the missing pictures, scans and videos from the past before leaving the site as an open archive.
