New Dior Campaign: Lady Hampton
This totally slipped my mind. But on October 19 Dior Magazine announced the new Lady Dior campaign featuring Marion Cotillard. After a number of world cities Lady Dior has now visited the Hamptons and photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino captured her on the beach. Ads started appearing on the last October weekend in magazines such as Japanese Vogue, Elle, 25 Ans, Numéro, Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair U.S., Town & Country, Interview, American and French Elles and Madame Figaro (source).

Interview about Joan of Arc Oratorio
The Spanish newspaper El Periódico published an interview with Marion Cotillard about her upcoming performances in Arthur Honegger’s iconic 1938 oratorio Jeanne au Bûcher (“Joan of Arc at the Stake”) at the Barcelona Auditori on November 17 & 18. Marc Soustrot is conducting the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya along with the Vivaldi, Liedercamera and Madrigal choirs. As previously announced the November 17 performance will be presented by medici.tv in a Live Webcast (2pm EST). Check out our past updates as well as their press release in English for more information.
Anyway, back to the interview. In it she talks about why this project means so much to her that she is reprising the role after performing the oratorio already in her hometown Orléans back in 2005, how her parents performed it when she was a child, what the challenges of the performances will be as well as wardrobe choices! I translated the article with help of Google Translator and a dictionary. I hope I got it right. Enjoy!

Lady Dior Web Documentary – Episode 4: Lily’s Body
Episode 4 of the Lady Dior Web Documentary is here! Sadly, there’s no new footage of Marion as it’s an animated short film. But no worries, it’s very exciting as it features an orginal song by her! Directed by Eliott Bliss, design by Slim and music by Yodelice.
In a film directed exclusively for the House of Dior, and to the tune of an original song written and sung by Marion Cotillard, the history of Dior comes alive in pictures.
Lady Dior Web Documentary – Episode 3: Métamorphose
I will catch up on all the London Film Festival events as soon as I get some free time. In the meantime, good news:
The third episode of the new Lady Dior Documentary is online! It shows Marion Cotillard being photographed for the new Dior magazine. She’s wearing vintage Dior so it’s the perfect opportunity to merge the fashion house’s history with Marion’s. There’s also footage from 2 other Dior photoshoots: one on a ferry in New York (used in 7000 and L’Express Styles) and another one indoors (used in Paris Match and Madame Figaro). There’s also napping Marion and her going to events.
It’s time for an exclusive photo shoot for Dior, and Marion Cotillard slips into some of the finest haute couture creations by Christian Dior himself.

Lady Dior Web Documentary – Episode 2: Up and Up
The second episode of the new Lady Dior Documentary is online! Apart from continuing to show the process of creating Marion’s dream robe and some history of the house Dior we see Marion jumping around & dancing at a photoshoot. I wonder when we’ll see the pictures taken that day. And at the end we even hear her sing.
From the workshops at 30, avenue Montaigne to the markets of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, Marion Cotillard invites us into her fairytale life and continues to write the story of a passion-filled union between fashion and cinema.

‘Rust & Bone’ Trailer – Lady Dior Documentary Teaser
There’s an awesome new UK trailer for ‘Rust and Bone‘ (De rouille et d’os). In my opinion it captures perfectly the essence of the movie and gives you a taste of how visceral & powerful it really is.

La Journée des oubliés des vacances
Marion Cotillard was in La Rochelle (France) yesterday. She joined her friend Maud Fontenoy who with her foundation – of which Marion is the godmother – organized a huge event for kids between 9 and 12 from all over France who had never seen the sea and never been on a boat before. For 30 years the Public Aid Association in France is organizing “The Days for the Ones Forgotten by the Holidays” (La Journée des oubliés des vacances). This year La Rochelle hosted the 4 day event and joined forces with Maud Fontenoy Fondation. The activities included visits to the aquarium as well as to the maritime museum and swimming.
On Monday, Marion joined Maud on her boat Tahia – with which she had sailed around the world – and together with about 50 boats from people supporting the action they took the 300 kids out to sea. NewCastWire, BFMTV.com and TF1 reported about it. And here’s an article from SudOuest.

Lady Dior: A Web Documentary
After many ads and online movies for Dior Marion Cotillard will once again be seen in an online short film for the fashion house:
Next up, starting Sept. 3, the house plans to launch its “Lady Dior, a Web Documentary” series on its site, diormag.com, geared to depict Cotillard’s adventures with the house over the years. The actress can be seen getting ready for the Met Ball, signing autographs at the Cannes International Film Festival and visiting the house’s couture atelier to watch a dress commission being made.
