I have no idea whether this indeed is Marion Cotillard’s first magazine appearance but it’s certainly the first I have in my extensive magazine collection. 20 year old Marion Cotillard was promoting her first leading role in TV movie ‘Chloé‘. I’m sure you’re as excited as I am about this gem!
Filming took place in the roads of Liège during nights – it was constantly very cold. She said that director Dennis Berry had already showed her this screenplay while he directed her for an episode of ‘Highlander‘. But she didn’t want to play the part then. When the screenplay was rewritten 2 years later she wanted to play Chloé, a girl full of hope and searching for the absolute. She dove into the part saying to herself that she might never again get to play such a strong character (little did she know hehe). The nude scenes didn’t bother her as they weren’t gratuitious but rather important for the character’s credibility.
Hobbies while not filming included at the time reading and looking out the window, admiring the trees. She also had the habit of preparing Mexican dishes for her friends and serving them while they were all watching football on TV.
Kindly do not redistribute the magazine scans at another Marion Cotillard fan site as they were scanned exclusively for ‘Magnifique Marion Cotillard’. Thank you.

Tonight on French TV: ‘Pierre Rabhi – Les Clés du paradigme…‘ – a documentary about Pierre Rhabi, which will also talk about what he exchanges with Marion Cotillard.
France 5, March 15, 2013 9.30pm and March 17, 2013 7.45am
There’s also the documentary ‘Pierre Rabhi – au nom de la terre‘ (Official Facebook) coming to French theatres on March 27. No idea if it features Marion Cotillard or not.
Marion Cotillard quite unlike we’ve seen her before! ‘Le Débarquement‘ the huge live comedy event on Canal+ this past Friday evening by Jean Dujardin, Guillaume Canet, Gilles Lellouche together with Alex Lutz, Laurent Lafitte and Nicolas Bedos and many more actors & some guests also featured a number of pre-recorded segments. One involved Monsieur Picco – played by Guillaume Canet – seeking treatment of a beauty surgeon – played by Jean Dujardin – at a private clinic for his dear wife Nathalie because she’s suffering from a rare kind of shyness and afraid of being seen in public. Little wonder because she’s actually a bear. Cut to 16 months later – and Nathalie now is still a bear but looks like Marion Cotillard! It seems he’s not as happy with the result as expected – he fears he has now lost his wife – but she’s more than happy once she’s got her honey pot!

On Friday 18 January, Marion will be taking part in ‘Le Débarquement’, which will air live on Canal+ at 8:50pm.
A bit about ‘Le Débarquement’:
The idea came about when Jean Dujardin, Gilles Lellouche and Guillaume Canet wanted to do something in the style of Saturday Night Live and Funny or Die in France.
It is above all an adventure of friends, the desire to play, laugh together, and invite everyone to participate.
The Landing is a series of skits, with a freedom of tone.
A bit like some American shows, it was also an opportunity to “mix” actors and actresses “recognized” with lesser known actors but the talented blast
From the outset, the deal was clear to all: leave the ego at home, we accept self-mockery and is not calculated. It goes back into the ridiculous or absurd if necessary. It explodes.
In an interview with Dujardin, Lellouche and Canet, Marion’s name was mentioned as one of the guests.
Can you give us some guests that will accompany you?
Laurent Lafitte, Nicolas Bedos, Géraldine Nakache, Alexandra Lamy, Melanie Doutey, Marion Cotillard, Alex Lutz and others but we will not tell you everything now …
At this stage it is an one-off event, but they are hoping if it is a ratings success, it may come back for future installments.
