This year’s Cannes Film Festival is upon us, starting this week on the 11th and going up to the 22nd of May. Marion Cotillard has been a constant presence in the festival in past years, both with films in competition and out of it. This year, however, Marion is taking two films to Cannes and both will be competing in the festival. Could this be the year we see Marion finally be awarded the Palm d’Or for best actress? We can only hope, and feel she’s way overdue now.
Nicole Garcia directed Mal de Pierres will premiere at the festival on May 15.
Juste La Fin Du Monde, directed by acclaimed Canadian director Xavier Dolan, will be at the festival on May 19.
I hope you’re looking as forward to the festival this year as we are!
We had already seen the behind the scenes photographs of the new Lady Dior campaign featuring Marion Cotillard, and now the campaign is out there, with print ads being featured in magazines worldwide. The campaign, which was shot in Paris by Peter Lindbergh, features Marion in different fall outfits holding different versions of the Dior bag she has been campaigning for several years now.
Check out the high quality photos of the campaign I have added and also see below for the behind the scenes video released by Dior.

Marion Cotillard was Master of Ceremonies at the event “One Heart One Tree: Lighting of the Eiffel Tower”, that took place on November 29, the eve of the Paris Climate Change Conference (COP21). Check out the photos in the gallery.
1 Heart 1 Tree is an interactive artwork that allows people around the world to plant virtual trees on the Eiffel Tower that grow at the rate of each individual’s heartbeat. For every digital tree planted, a real tree will be planted through reforestation programs all over the world.

Good news! Marion Cotillard will be a guest on the Graham Norton Show this Friday, September 25. The show airs on BBC One at 10.30pm (UK time). Watch if you can! I’ll try to grab the video of her appearance as soon as I can.
Together on Graham’s first sofa of the new series: Hollywood star Matt Damon, and Oscar-nominated actress Jessica Chastain (The Help, Zero Dark Thirty), starring in new blockbuster The Martian; Oscar-winning French star Marion Cotillard, talking about her latest movie role as Lady Macbeth; top comic, musician and actor Bill Bailey; and music from The Weeknd, performing the summer hit Can’t Feel My Face.
Edit: Marion was unfortunately not on the show last night, due to this far unknown reasons. Thank you Philip and Benedicte, for letting me know. I was as surprised this morning as you were. Hopefully we will see Marion on the show at a later date.
