The Immigrant Trailer & new Lady Dior campaign

The Immigrant Trailer & new Lady Dior campaign

Marion Cotillard is once again the face of a Lady Dior campaign. Photographed by Steven Klein and Jean-Baptiste Mondino for past Dior campaigns, it was photographer Tim Walker’s turn to capture the actress posing alongside Dior bags. Marion wore two designs from the French fashion house’s Resort 2014 collection by designer Raf Simons. The ads were featured two days ago in the Japanese edition of Vogue and are featured today in US’ Vanity Fair.

I have added the print ads from the campaign as well as the making of and its screen captures.

In other exciting news, the International trailer for ‘The Immigrant’ has finally been released! The movie opens in Belgium and France on November 27. A worldwide release has been pushed back with rumours claiming the film won’t be in US theatres before next spring. I have added new stills from the movies, the trailer itself and screen captures of the video. The entire production looks stunning, take a look!

Marion Cotillard to star in Macbeth

According to See-Saw Films, Marion Cotillard has replaced Natalie Portman as Lady Macbeth opposite Michael Fassbender in a new adapation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The film, directed by Justin Kurzel (Snowtown), is set to be produced by the team that brought us The King’s Speech and Shame. Shooting is set to begin January 2014 in the United Kingdom. Studio Canal and Film4 are financing the project. This is amazing news, can’t wait to see Marion doing Shakespeare!

“I feel extremely blessed that Marion is joining our film. She is one of the bravest and most compelling actors I have watched in recent years and I cannot wait to collaborate with both her and Michael in bringing to screen this very human and tragic love story.”

– Justin Kurzel (director)

“Marion Cotillard has proven extraordinary versatility through her stunning performances in La Vie en Rose and Rust and Bone. Casting her as Lady Macbeth alongside Michael Fassbender will bring a fresh and exciting dynamic to the story of lovers pulled apart by war and ambition.”

– Iain Canning (producer)

Marion to voice character on take of ‘The Little Prince’

James Franco, Rachel McAdams, Jeff Bridges Among Voice Stars for ‘Little Prince’

James Franco, Rachel McAdams, Jeff Bridges, Marion Cotillard, Benicio Del Toro and Paul Giamatti are on board to voice characters in a big-screen take on The Little Prince, the classic French novella by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

The adaptation is shaping up to have a stacked voice cast, including three recent Oscar winners in Bridges, Cotillard and Del Toro.

Mark Osborne, who directed Kung Fu Panda, is helming the project, which is being produced by Onyx Films’ Aton Soumache — who produced the stylish 2006 animated film Renaissance — and Dimitri Rassam.

The story centers on a pilot who crash-lands in the Sahara desert and comes across a little boy who says he is a prince fallen to Earth from his home on an asteroid. As the pilot repairs his plane, the little prince regales him with stories about his home and the foolish inhabitants of nearby asteroids.

Bridges will voice the pilot. It was not revealed which roles the other actors were taking on.

The book, published Le Petit Prince in 1943 and translated from French into dozens of languages, proved to be a hit due to its philosophical nature, appealing to both adults and children.
