Facebook Group and ‘Pretty Things’ additions
Do you have an account on Facebook? Laura let me know about her group dedicated to Marion called The Marion Cotillard Appreciation Society so be sure to join and to tell all your friends about it!
Gallery news: I finished transferring & adding all the pictures in the section Movies. The only really new pictures are some additional and/or better quality stills from ‘Les Jolies Choses’ (Pretty Things) as well as caps from a DVD extra:
009 Les Jolies Choses – Stills
115 Les Jolies Choses – DVD Screencaptures > Full Lucie F. video
The pictures from a ‘Public Enemies’ costume fitting can no longer be found in the ‘Movies’ section – rather they will soon be filed in the ‘Public Appearances’ section. As many people already guessed at the time they were posted they are not pictures of Marion actually trying on any costumes for said film. As the recent documentary ‘Mon Clown’ clearly showed Marion was wearing that pink dress to a reception held at the French Embassy. So the pictures must be of Marion arriving for the costume fitting and leaving for the reception afterwards.
‘Une femme piegée’ stills
I’m happy to say that the Television, TV Appearances etc, and Fanart & Various categories have all been completely moved to the new gallery – which means I’m about 20% done with the move, I’d say. Due to the way the old gallery is storing preview pictures they seem to still be in the old gallery too. Anyways, I’ve still not finished the ‘Chloé’ screencaptures I started last August but I added some new (and rare, I think) HQ stills from Marion’s 2001 TV thriller ‘Une femme piegée’:
010 Une femme piegée (A Woman in Trouble) – Stills
‘Mon Clown’ Screencaptures
Thanks to the ever-helpful Paolo I’m proud to announce that Magnifique Marion Cotillard has 690 good quality screencaptures of the fantastic Marion Cotillard documentary ‘Mon Clown’ by Bastien Duval. Enjoy!

Making Headlines – Part 2
Regarding the title… I only have Marion Cotillard’s recent wins at the César and Academy Awards ceremonies in mind. Here the promised scans – most of them are of publications that feature Marion Cotillard’s name if not also her picture on the cover: Elle (March 3), Le Figaro Magazine (March 1), France Dimanche (February 29), Point de Vue (February 27), and Los Angeles Times (February 25).
Mariana sent in a scan of British Night & Day of Marion’s BAFTA win – and I’ve added some other miscellanous scans as well to the Clippings album.
Thanks to Mimi we also have scans of VSD. Many thanks! The article reports that Marion apparently declined a publicity contract for a famous cosmetics brand – because it is on Greenpeace’s black list.
80th Academy Awards Coverage – Part 4
Ok, I’ve finished sorting and resizing all the remaining pictures from the Oscars and the after parties. Many thanks to the always wonderful Mariana for some of the pictures. Enjoy!
112 80th Academy Awards – Backstage & Pressroom
016 80th Annual Academy Awards – Governor’s Ball
049 16th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party
Making Headlines – Part 1
Obviously, Marion Cotillard’s Best Actress win at the Oscars is making headlines throughout the world. I’ve now added scans of the most recent issues of Vanity Fair Germany and Paris Match – both feature Marion on the cover. The latter also features an interesting interview with Marion’s dad: Jean-Claude Cotillard (see scan #11).
Remember that although the scans are tagged I am happy to see a link back to this site here should you decide to post them in e.g. a messageboard. I have come across a number of my scans – especially rare ones such as the Japanese magazine features – having been posted on various places uncredited and with illegible tags. Buying and scanning magazines is something I enjoy doing for a fansite but it costs money and time. So instead of simply taking them for your own use please take the additional time of maybe commenting on here how much you appreciate them and add a link back to Magnifique Marion Cotillard should you post them someplace else. It would be much appreciated!
05 Vanity Fair (Germany) – February 28
12 Paris Match (France) – February 28 – March 5
