I’ve finally added the clip of Marion Cotillard’s interview on “Le grand journal”, which took place May 18, 2009 during the Cannes Film Festival. Not only that but you can also find HQ screencaptures of the interview as well as an English translation. I hope the translation really conveys the meaning of what was said on TV.

From Gaumont’s Cannes Promo Flyer and Marion’s appearance on ‘Le grand journal’ (caps & clips coming soon) we have 2 new ‘Le dernier vol‘ stills. Have I already said how impatiently I’m awaiting its cinema release?!
Apart from France the movie is also scheduled to come to the French part of Switzerland on November 25, 2009!
On May 22 Dior and ELLE magazine hosted a dinner in honor of Marion Cotillard at the Hotel du Cap Eden-Roc. The hotel’s furnishings were all covered in red Chinese silk and Marion, who attended together with Guillaume Canet, matched the Asian flare of the event by wearing a crimson bustier dress. Here some of her quotes:
Cannes is every bit as glamorous as the Oscars
Being Lady Dior is fabulous. I meet beautiful people and go to amazing parties. But most of all I love John; he’s so unique and creative. I like people who take risks, and he’s the boldest designer of them all.
I get to wear amazing Dior dresses, but I don’t get to keep them,” she smiled. “They all go into this magical archive!

Last week on May 21 during the Cannes Film Festival Marion Cotillard together with Guillaume Canet attended the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS event at the Hotel du Cap. A journalist from the Black Book Magazine was also there and mentioned Marion favourably:
and any crack at carrying a half-decent conversation with the likes of … Marion Cotillard, who takes the prize for grace, dignity and professionalism, is best forgotten. It’s too loud to have a talk.

I’ve added HQ pictures of Marion Cotillard signing a bottle for charity in the Moët Lounge, probably before or after the ‘Nine‘ promotional event which took place on May 18 – as well as 2 pictures of her in front of her hotel with a friend on May 19.
Further reinforcing its century-long love affair with the international film industry, Moët & Chandon the champagne of cinema, today opens its “Moët Lounge Cannes 2009”, an exclusive VIP hotspot at the private beach venue, Bâoli Beach, in celebration of the 62nd annual Cannes Film Festival.
With prime positioning on the iconic Croisette, “Moët Lounge Cannes 2009” is an invitationonly prestige venue that will host an array of film soirées, cinema-inspired art exhibitions and celebrations from 14-24 May. During the festival, Moët will invite A-list celebrities and filmmakers to autograph 15-liter Nebuchadnezzar bottles for charity, a now legendary cinema tradition that the House began decades ago at iconic film festivals and awards around the globe.
Ok, I’m back and trying to catch up with all the Marion news as quickly as my very busy real life schedule allows. Today, I bring you some scans of recent publications – one even has a brand-new interview with Marion Cotillard, I’ve added the transcript to the press archive: Cultural Conversion
This is a part of me that you have to protect not to be hurt by mean things. I do my job, I try to do my job the best I can. I love it, I am very happy of what happens, so I don’t want to destroy this by being hurt by bad energy.
With the gracious help of Mariana I’ve filled the existing Cannes albums with more lovely Marion pictures. Enjoy!
I know I haven’t added the Elle HQ scans or the Le Grand Journal screencaptures & clips (view) yet and Marion will soon be attending the special Lady Dior dinner in her honor but unfortunately, I’m leaving town and will be without internet access for the rest of the week. Check back Sunday evening to find more Marion news & pictures. Thanks for your patience!
After handing out the Chopard trophies to the young actors Marion Cotillard together with Guillaume Canet joined many stars for the official Chopard Trophy Evening at the Baoli restaurant – where DJ Stéphane Pompougnac provided the entertainment.
And surprise, she completely changed her outfit: she wore a lovely midnight blue bustier dress (matching with Guillaume’s elegant midnight blue/black suit), a more natural make up, beige high heels and a similar necklace but this time around with a dark jewel instead of a white one. Reportedly, this was because the other dress was torn and it caused her to arrive 3 hours late. But who cares, see the result in the gallery. I also added a few more pictures to the previous Cannes galleries.
Watch a short video summary of the actual Chopard Trophy Ceremony on this year’s co-host Premiere magazine’s website.
As expected Marion Cotillard, together with Hilary Swank, handed out the Chopard Trophy at the Martinez Hotel earlier tonight. The winners were Léa Seydoux and The Reader star David Krauss.
