Ok, I’m back and trying to catch up with all the Marion news as quickly as my very busy real life schedule allows. Today, I bring you some scans of recent publications – one even has a brand-new interview with Marion Cotillard, I’ve added the transcript to the press archive: Cultural Conversion
This is a part of me that you have to protect not to be hurt by mean things. I do my job, I try to do my job the best I can. I love it, I am very happy of what happens, so I don’t want to destroy this by being hurt by bad energy.

With the gracious help of Mariana I’ve filled the existing Cannes albums with more lovely Marion pictures. Enjoy!
I know I haven’t added the Elle HQ scans or the Le Grand Journal screencaptures & clips (view) yet and Marion will soon be attending the special Lady Dior dinner in her honor but unfortunately, I’m leaving town and will be without internet access for the rest of the week. Check back Sunday evening to find more Marion news & pictures. Thanks for your patience!
After handing out the Chopard trophies to the young actors Marion Cotillard together with Guillaume Canet joined many stars for the official Chopard Trophy Evening at the Baoli restaurant – where DJ Stéphane Pompougnac provided the entertainment.
And surprise, she completely changed her outfit: she wore a lovely midnight blue bustier dress (matching with Guillaume’s elegant midnight blue/black suit), a more natural make up, beige high heels and a similar necklace but this time around with a dark jewel instead of a white one. Reportedly, this was because the other dress was torn and it caused her to arrive 3 hours late. But who cares, see the result in the gallery. I also added a few more pictures to the previous Cannes galleries.
Watch a short video summary of the actual Chopard Trophy Ceremony on this year’s co-host Premiere magazine’s website.

002 The Weinstein Company Celebrates ‘Nine’
As expected Marion Cotillard, together with Hilary Swank, handed out the Chopard Trophy at the Martinez Hotel earlier tonight. The winners were Léa Seydoux and The Reader star David Krauss.
I’ve added an article from someone who met Marion Cotillard at the annual Gaumont lunch, where she was promoting Le dernier vol. She revealed her 2008 Halloween costume:

Marion Cotillard celebrated ‘Nine‘ together with the movie’s producer The Weinstein Company earlier today. Her co-star Penélope Cruz was supposed to stand next to her. Unfortunately, she was sidelined by “some sort of food poisoning.” People.com reports:
Harvey Weinstein passed on the bad news to a select group of journalists. He then introduced Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard, another star of the ensemble piece. “It was an amazing adventure, it was my dream to be in an American musical,” Cotillard said. “I really hope you are going to love what you are going to see.”
Weinstein added, “When you see [Cotillard] sing, when you see her dance, we bring back a tradition that we need to do more of.”

Marion Cotillard is featured on the cover of the new issue of French Elle magazine, which appears on newsstands tomorrow. I had to look twice to be sure that this is really Marion but this is nothing short of a spectacular photoshoot! I’ve added previews to the gallery. The article is to promote The Lady Noire Affair and Public Enemies and I guess we know now why Elle magazine is co-hosting the dinner in honor of Marion during the Cannes Film Festival on May 22. Stay tuned for HQ scans and an English translation of the interview!
By the way, the new Guillaume Canet-directed project on Marion’s schedule is indeed called ‘Les Petits Mouchoirs‘. “He envisioned me as this lively girl – not necessarily the most stable – but who’ trying to find her place in the world. And I liked that very much!” (Il m’a imaginée dans la peau d’une fille à vif, pas vraiment la plus stable du monde, mais qui essaie de trouver sa place. Et ça me plaît beaucoup !)

I created a new album in the gallery for all the new stills from the Lady Dior short film. I will replace them with better quality versions whenever I find them. There’s also a (tagged) picture of Marion Cotillard attending an exclusive screening of the short film at the end of April.

“NINE” is a vibrant and provocative musical that follows the life of world famous film director Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis) as he reaches a creative and personal crisis of epic proportion, while balancing the numerous women in his life including his wife (Marion Cotillard), his mistress (Penelope Cruz), his film star muse (Nicole Kidman), his confidant and costume designer (Judi Dench), an American fashion journalist (Kate Hudson), the whore from his youth (Fergie) and his mother (Sophia Loren). The film is directed by Rob Marshall (CHICAGO). The original 1982 Broadway production of “NINE,” with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston, won five Tony Awards including Best Musical.
French weekly magazine Paris Match (issue May 7-13) dedicated 6 pages to Marion Cotillard’s part in the Lady Dior campaign, especially in the upcoming (May 20) short film “The Lady Noire Affair. Read the article in the press archive and enjoy the HQ scans in the gallery.
I will try to get a translation of the interview up as soon as possible. As always, thank you for your patience!
Kindly do not redistribute these scans at another Marion Cotillard fan site as they were obtained/donated exclusively for ‘Magnifique Marion Cotillard’. Thank you.
