According to See-Saw Films, Marion Cotillard has replaced Natalie Portman as Lady Macbeth opposite Michael Fassbender in a new adapation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The film, directed by Justin Kurzel (Snowtown), is set to be produced by the team that brought us The King’s Speech and Shame. Shooting is set to begin January 2014 in the United Kingdom. When the line-up for the Toronto Film Festival was announced a while back it was disappointing to see that none of Marion Cotillard’s upcoming films (‘Blood Ties‘ and ‘The Immigrant‘) were on it.
