Filming for 'Rust & Bone' Continues

As on Tuesday, Marion Cotillard and Matthias Schoenarts continued to film for ‘Un goût de rouille et d’os‘ (Rust & Bone) on a private beach called Goéland in Cannes yesterday (source). Their characters Stéphanie and Ali were taking a dip in the ocean. Marion was seen sitting in a wheelchair and it was made to look as if she was wearing prosthetics from the knees downwards. Although the production was trying hard to cut off the view to the set to ensure privacy many of the pictures taken seem very intrusive (those are not included in this update) so I hope production moves to a more secluded area soon.

  1. It’s nice to see pics but I agree, a little intrusive.
I’m looking forward to this film though-it sounds like such a great role for Marion!
BTW I think the green socks are actually so they can digitally remove those parts of her legs in post-production? They look similar to those CGI suits.

  2. I hope production solves this problem soon. They´re actors at work and they need to be concentrated. Taking pictures is really intrusive.

  3. I agree about the socks – but since her character will also be walking about judging by the earlier on set pics she will probably at some point wear prosthetics. The bit added on to her knees above the socks actually made me say that about the prosthetics – can’t wait for the film to see the final scene!

And while taking pictures is always disturbing the work it’s not necessarily very intrusive – depending on the scene and the amount of pictures taken. I was of course talking about the pictures of Marion in the ocean without her top that are circulating on all the infamous gossip sites – those go too far in my opinion

  4. i also think they will use the socks with a green screen to remove her legs but i believe that the two bits that are added on above the socks
will be where her legs will end , you can see scars on the bits and i think it is made to look like operation scars….

even if it is nice to see something from her new film i could have waited until the movie company released them this was a bit intrusive and you can clearly see on some of the faces that they dont like the people with the cameras…..
