Marion Cotillard graced the cover of the 50th issue of Aéroports de Paris Magazine back in October 2010. This is the airport’s free magazine with information about Paris – including culture etc. The good thing about it is that the articles are both in French and English. Many thanks to Gina for making this magazine available to me!

Scans from Italian Vanity Fair

At the end of September 2010 when ‘Inception‘ was about to be released in Italian cinemas Marion Cotillard graced the cover of the Italian Vanity Fair magazine. The photoshoot caught the attention of many internet websites shortly afterwards because it appeared not to have been retouched. I love the idea even if the styling of the hair and the flowery dress might not have been the best choices. Additionally, there are some gorgeous pictures of Marion in costume rehearsing or playing with the rock band Yodélice as well as pictures that have a somewhat everyday life-feeling to them. Enjoy!

If anybody who knows Italian feels like sending in a translation of the exclusive interview please don’t hesitate to do so – it would be much appreciated!

Christopher Plummer about Marion

NOW Magazine has a new interview with iconic actor Christopher Plummer. At the end there’s an audio snippet where he talks about his connection to Edith Piaf and why Marion Cotillard deserved her Oscar:

I couldn’t believe it, she got her… Because how… She’s not old enough to have known her. But how she got her voice, speaking voice exactly. And her manner in life exactly. It was like she watched a film of every gesture of Edith have made. It was quite uncanny

‘Cosmopolis’ Casting News

Posted in: Movies,

Remember ‘Cosmopolis‘ – the David Cronenberg movie Marion Cotillard’s been attached to since last May? It seems that Colin Farrell who had been attached to the project to take the lead role is out of the picture because Deadline reports that Robert Pattinson has signed for the part of Eric Packer.

While all the news reports are still mentioning Marion Cotillard and Paul Giamatti (also “in talks” to join according to a report by The Playlist from last December) their involvement is as of yet unclear – there haven’t been any reports of them actually signing on to the movie. If Marion is still on board she’d play Pattinson’s wife.

Marion Cotillard: Best of 2010

Welcome to 2011! I know I haven’t managed to add all the missing pictures from 2010 appearances and magazine features to the gallery but since I already skipped it last year for these reasons I decided to compile a review of 2010 nontheless. What are your choices? Feel free to comment!

Best News: Marion Cotillard being awarded the Desert Palm Achievement Actress Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival last January and ‘Les petits mouchoirs‘ (Little White Lies) being the most successful French movie of the year. And of course Marion joining the French rock band Yodélice as Simone.

Worst News: After Marion’s participation in the oratorio ‘Jeanne au bûcher‘ was announced for November back in August we didn’t hear anything further. November came and went without the special performances happening. And 48 hours before the year ended Harry Potter passed ‘Les petits mouchoirs‘ (Little White Lies) at the French box office keeping it from being the most successful movie of the year in France.

Favourite magazine cover:

As always Marion Cotillard graced quite a number of covers – all of which gorgeous. But I really like this from Jalouse – March 2010.
