Recent interviews with Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet revealed that they’ve known each other long before they worked together in ‘Jeux d’enfants‘ (Love Me If You Dare). Back in 2001 the two friends were photographed together for the annual Bon Marché exhibition around the time of the Cannes Film Festival.

Saturday, April 7. They value each other, see each other from time to time and share the same urge for imaginativeness, the same audacity. With the laughing eyes of a child about to do some mischief, Guillaume Canet comes up with an idea: to put a noose around his neck! Maybe to better ward off the superstition which forbids to utter this word on a film set. Immediately won over and of course an accomplice, Marion Cotillard took a wicked delight in catching him at his own game.

Thank you so much for posting the hi-res version of that great picture! I always thought it was from the Jeux d’ Enfants days, it’s awesome that they’ve been friends that long. Sadly when I tried saving the pic, it would only appear as a 43-byte gif, and not as the proper jpg file. :(
Thanks for all your amazing work!

I was about to say the same as above! :)
Thanks for posting Mia – have been hoping to see this pic in high res for years!

I can’t see any of the scans/pictures in the gallery. A box with .jpg in the middle is the only thing that loads. Anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know a way I can fix it, cause I think it might have something to do with my computer?

Jennifer (aka Modelspice)

Thanks for this new info. I’m glad that they were eventually able to get the chance to be together now.
