Gallery news: I finished transferring & adding all the pictures in the section Movies. The only really new pictures are some additional and/or better quality stills from ‘Les Jolies Choses’ (Pretty Things) as well as caps from a DVD extra:

009 Les Jolies Choses – Stills
115 Les Jolies Choses – DVD Screencaptures > Full Lucie F. video

The pictures from a ‘Public Enemies’ costume fitting can no longer be found in the ‘Movies’ section – rather they will soon be filed in the ‘Public Appearances’ section. As many people already guessed at the time they were posted they are not pictures of Marion actually trying on any costumes for said film. As the recent documentary ‘Mon Clown’ clearly showed Marion was wearing that pink dress to a reception held at the French Embassy. So the pictures must be of Marion arriving for the costume fitting and leaving for the reception afterwards.

Premier prix d’art dramatique.

I’m happy to say that the Television, TV Appearances etc, and Fanart & Various categories have all been completely moved to the new gallery – which means I’m about 20% done with the move, I’d say. Due to the way the old gallery is storing preview pictures they seem to still be in the old gallery too. Anyways, I’ve still not finished the ‘Chloé’ screencaptures I started last August but I added some new (and rare, I think) HQ stills from Marion’s 2001 TV thriller ‘Une femme piegée’:

I have had some additional videos in relation to the recent Oscars sitting around on my computer. I finally organized them for the Video Vault and made screencaptures of some for the gallery. Be sure to check out the videos – apart from covering Marion Cotillard’s Oscar win they also show footage of ‘Taxi’ premieres, interviews from early last year and from when Marion attended a screening of ‘La Môme’ with her grandmother.

Unfortunately, the gallery system has encountered some kind of problem – it won’t let me add any new pictures. I’ve tried every solution I was able to find in the application’s support forums. However, nothing helped. During the 8 months I’ve been using this system it’s not the first time it’s been playing weird. So despite the advantages – disable hotlinking to full sized versions especially – I’ve decided to move the pictures to a fabulous Coppermine installation. Of course this will take some time but both versions will be accessible. Whatever gets removed from the old gallery can be found in the new one.

After almost 8 months I have installed a new layout for the site. I know I’m a bit late – it’s been already 3 weeks – but I decided to put up a layout in honour of Marion Cotillard’s Oscar win. Credit for the design and coding goes to my friend Laura. Hasn’t she created a beautiful layout? I am more than pleased with it and hope you like it too.

In view of time restraints I haven’t put up new content except for an overview of all the previous site layouts. Also you will find that the gallery features a new theme and additional functionality, hopefully making it more accessible and interactive.

Remember: everybody that receives French Channel Canal + will be able to see Bastien Duval’s exclusive Marion Cotillard documentary – about her life during the worldwide La Vie en Rose promotion tour and the recent awards season – called Mon Clown tonight at 11.05 pm.

For everyone else – myself included – I have another special treat: The March issue of Italian Vogue features a 22 page long editorial called ‘Divina’ featuring none other than Marion! Discover the 11 new pictures from a spectacular photoshoot by Peter Lindbergh in the gallery. (We’ve already seen another picture of the same session in the February issue of Italian’s Men’s Vogue).

Kindly do not redistribute these scans at another Marion Cotillard fan site as they were obtained exclusively for ‘Magnifique Marion Cotillard’. Thank you.

Some more scans. This time from the French Glamour – where Marion is gracing the cover on the April issue. Nothing really new inside. It’s a report about the public events she attended before the Oscars. Although the picture with the byline ‘a true US star’ is actually from the 6th Marrakech International Film Festival that took place back in December 2006 – even from before La Vie en Rose had its world premiere…

Then a fabulous photoshoot that was published on the day of the Oscars in the Los Angeles Times. I actually did my best to attempt a good quality scan of the oversized newspaper article but I’m afraid it could be better. Finally, I’ve added 2 clippings from German magazines Welt and Bild sent in by Benjamin. Many thanks!
